Hi guys!

I've tried a full Ubuntu install from a liveCD i downloaded from ubuntu but it has failed to install. Firstly there was a Loading please wait..... message which was there for ages and then eventually other reload errors. I've now tried to login using the liveCD without making any changes to the computer and it's asking for username and password. Does anyone know the usermane and password or is there any default?

Thanks

How did you burn the .iso file ? was it with a high speed ?

You just wait a few seconds and it logs you in. You need to erase everything on the drive and I still prefer installing from the alternate cd. It lets you erase everything. It takes a lot lot longer to install, but it will work better.

Frankly i'm not sure whether it was fast or normal speed. But i verified the burn and it was okay.

Give the alternate cd install a try. It often works.
