Apparently with GTK/Gnome, a tooltip will only appear when the cursor is absolutely still. The problem is that when using tablet such as my Wacom, it's impossible to hold the cursor that still. Isn't there a way I can have tooltips appear when the cursor is simply over the object for a certain amount of time? It isn't practical to lift the pen up, because it's hard to not accidentally move the cursor out of place while doing so.

I found a setting for the stylus in wacomcpl called "suppress points" which allows the cursor to stay more still. So, I can get the tooltips to appear now.

However, I've found that settings in wacomcpl are not permanent. Is there a listing that shows what all of the settings in wacomcpl equate to in xorg.conf???
