Hi,

Trying to install truecrypt on my laptop.
Found :http://www.howtoforge.com/truecrypt-with-gui-on-ubuntu-7.10-p2

When I reach the end @ step 3.2.3 TrueCrypt Group, I follow all the steps but with the command:

$ truecrypt -l

I get a popup No volume mounted (instead No volumes mapped)!?

So, what do i do?

Hi, I downloaded truecrypt-6.1a-ubuntu-x86.tar.gz and extracted it. I got truecrypt-6.1a-setup-ubuntu-x86
Now what do I do with this to install? Sorry, I'm a newbie.

Open a shell and run
./truecrypt-6.1a-setup-ubuntu-x86

Its an executable, you need to agree to a license agreement first before it will install. From memory I think after this point it extracts a .deb file you can install with the package manager (double click the .deb file)

Applications > Accessories > Terminal

You may copy that extracted file to your home folder. After that just type in Terminal command RansomStark told you.
