My roommate just got an iphone sent to him as a gift and he's trying to set an mp3 as his ring. The tutorials we've come across on the internet say to install this or that program, but I'm thinking that with all the features the phone comes with that this ought to be doable right off the bat without having to install anything else.
Do you absolutely have to use some other program? The setting to use an mp3 as a ring tone is not presenting itself.
I appreciate any help... and I know, I know these are linux forums and other open source phone options exist like Android...
