wubi to full install: worth it?

Just wondering if there is a relevant performance difference between ubuntu 8.10 installed via wubi and the real instalation.

I'm quite pleased with this os and while I would be fine using wubi for a while, I cant help think that I might be losing some performance to the virtual drive.

so basically, full install: worth the trouble or not?

Any native install is going to be faster than a virtual install on the same hardware. In other words, nobody is replying because they're all thinking the same thing: yes. :)

I think the big main question here is whether you want to dump Windows entirely, or continue to dual-boot with it.
