I'm not entirely sure of what you are asking but if you're trying to change the icon it self on your desktop right click the firefox icon go to properties click on the firefox image itself should be in a box then choose the icon of your choice

Firefox's main icon is located in /usr/lib/firefox-versionNumber/icons.

This is the icon that shows up in the titlebar while Firefox is running.
