I installed Compizconfig on my Ubuntu 8.10 I wanted a way to stay zoomed out of the cube with out having to use the screen saver or hold any buttons down. I found this tutorial

but to my dismay Ubuntu 8.10 uses HAL .fdi files. Is there anyone that can make an .fdi file that will do the same thing as the tutorial above? Or is there anyone that knows how to do what I'm looking for another way?
