Well i use xfire but no one seems to use it on linux.

Just curious what other people tend to use?

A lot of times i put it in my signature and start getting people adding me all the time then lol.

I take it you, like I, have too many friends on MSN to give up on it?

I use Pidgin a lot, but I tend to use meebo.com lately, since it lets you use webcam even behind proxy, even if it DOES require both users to be on Meebo.

I don't really use instant messengers anymore, but when I did, I preferred to use Pidgin because it allowed me to use AIM chat rooms.

KMess 2 SVN is my favourite but don't bother with it unless you're running KDE due to dependencies

I use Pidgin.

2.5.5 kept eating CPU and crashing randomly for me (and for others, too), so I downgraded to 2.5.4 and will wait until a new release is made before I update it.

Why I can't wait for digsby I use pidgin sometimes. But I have been using pork alot lately.

sudo apt-get install pork

its a terminal based aim messenger. I use for work through ssh. and at home through the terminal. when you run it just use

/connect

and thats about it really easy to use and very low on resources. but thats why i like linux the terminal. don't forget about the terminal!

I normally use pidgin which I really like but my main problem is the lack of webcam support so if I want video I fire up aMSN which is horrible! If meebo's an alternative for a client with webcam support then I doubt it will be hard for it to be better so will look it up when I get home!
