Hi
I have Windows XP and Ubuntu 7.10 installed in my PC.
I got Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop CD now and i wanted to install it.
When i selected the option to run the CD without installing, after booting up i got a black screen. I could only see my mouse pointer there. Nothing else happens.
I tried booting in safe graphics mode, it worked there, but there the screen resolution was only 640*480. So i couldn't see the whole window.
Why am i getting this black screen of death? Any solution ?
My chipset is Intel D845GVSR.
