HOW TO: Ubuntu 8.10 on HP Mini 1000?

Hey, guys can you help me figure this one out, please? I need to use the USB stick method, but don't know where to begin on this one. Need to make sure all my drivers work. Should I use MinBuntu? Answers and comments appreciated. How to's are even better.

I'm writing this from from an HP Mini running 8.10. What exactly are you needing help on; is it the creation of an install usb, or the install after?
