View Full Version : [ubuntu] Installing Nero (with .tgz)

Just downloaded nerolinux-3.5.2.3-x86.tgz, I did untar it but all I see are three folders: "etc", "usr" and "embrace". What do I need to do?

choose the ubuntu deb 32bit
http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-linux3-trial.php
once downloaded open with gdebi package installer, if you choose to save it to a directory' simply click the .deb to start the install

Thanks for that link. But you know..............erm............. I never paid for any software before so I cant download that lol. But I'll keep looking for the .deb of Nero.

You need to copy the compressed file to root (/) and then (as root) untar the file. It will then automatically install itself.
