Hi All,
I'm trying to get my Triple-Headed Desktop set-up sorted under Intrepid.
As per the title, I have got 2 monitors connected to a 4870x2, and one connected to the X1050.

My goal is to have them all working as one big extended desktop (3840x1024) so that i can drag windows from one monitor to the next. I've installed the Catalyst CC for linux, but the best I've been able to do is have the three monitors working, but as seperate screens, so I can drag programs across.

I'm not sure how to configure Xinerama, and I've heard that it messes with Compiz, which I'd like to keep, and is buggy sometimes?

Anyone got any experience with a similar set-up or can offer any guidance?

Thanks :)

Hi welcome to the ignore us thread. Enjoy your stay here!

Sorry no one has replied in over a FREAKIN' MONTH! I wish I could help but my 4870X2 doesnt work as I cannot get the ATI Drivers installed without locking up my system. Sorry. But hey at least we arent alone...

First, question is posted in a wrong sub-forum, so don't complain

As per your question, Xorg has trouble supporting multiple adapters, see here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1058961&highlight=xorg+video+cards
