[Errno 5] Input/output error [SOLVED]

hi all, i was trying to install ubuntu, kubuntu, xubuntu in VM and none worked. I was getting that error. After reading, I formated the harddrive, leaving the windows partition intact, and creating new ones and that fixed my problem.

This is an amd xp pc with some very old motherboard. Just today it wasnt related to any drivers, just the partitions.
