View Full Version : [ubuntu] Devede isn't working right!

i have made a few iso images with devede before but none of the videos were in avi
now that i am trying to make a dvd iso from an avi file thats like 2 gigs in size, i goes through the process and makes the image and then i goto to where the image is and its only 8 mbs it is only making the menu and a small clip that sounds like nails on a chalk board. please help

Just a guess, but you might click Applications>Add/Remove... and search for "restricted" after you change the filter to "All Available Applications". Then check off Ubuntu Restricted Extras and apply.

This will install several video and audio decoders that are not included with Ubuntu by default and might help devede with decoding the video so that it can re-encode it.

I am also having problems with DEVEDE.
It appears to be working BUT, none of the AVI files I convert with
DEVEDE will work once burned to DVD (in a regular DVD player).

I have been using DEVEDE and K3B for years and both usually work great.
About two weeks ago, it stopped working (disks dont play).

Burner works with other ISO files (and K3B).
Just the ones I am converting with DEVEDE dont work.
HELP (please)..
