Hello Ubuntu forums,
I just installed Nessus to my system from the repos
sudo apt-get install nessus
This installed Nessus version 2.2.10. I wanted the latest version, but now I have a couple of questions about this.
My system is running he latest version of Crunchbang Linux, which is based on Ubuntu 8.10. The Nessus web site has a file available for Ubuntu 8.04 and one for Debian 4. Which should I download? Will the file for Ubuntu 8.04 work for 8.10? The .deb should work right? Also, do I have to remove my current version of Nessus?
Would these lines work to remove nessus?
sudo apt-get remove nessus
also,
sudo apt-get remove nessusd
Thanks guys and gals! I appreciate the help.
