Well I'm doing a project for my microprocessors class and it involves controlling a circuit with a computer port, I chose the parallel port. Now I've come up with something, using a LCD screen to show the output of some commands to monitor the PC status, like temperature or CPU usage.

I was wondering if anyone can point to some good resources for doing this, like what type of LCD and stuff. Or perhaps other projects that use the parallel port?

Thanks.
