Damn Vulnerable Linux (DVL)

Has anybody tried DVL for hosting a secure server in a production environment? I personally don't recommend it. Just wanted to get some thoughts.

Um ...

DVL is built to be insecure and I only boot it in a VM isolated from the network.

It is designed as a learning tool to be vulnerable to as many attacks as possible.
