I'm rather new at this (ex windows) and this is my FIRST night on Ubuntu 8.10 (Ibex), so forgive my command-prompt / Terminal ignorance, but...

I got halfway through this (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne), and I'm a little lost afterward. The next step after downloading the Madwifi is:

"You may have to append ath_pci to /etc/modules:"

And the line of code is as follows:

# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
#
# This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
# at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.

fuse
lp
ath_pci

...Now...

I just kinda...inserted the first lines of code, and don't seem able to do the same. D:

At the moment, my Terminal screen is on

root@Pandabox:~/madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3942-20090205# sudo modprobe ath_pci...so...

...*whimper* What comes next? Thanks in advance. D: I hope I can learn from this!
