i was playing with my display settings when i tried flipping the display upside down. it went upside down and i thought, oh that's interesting, but then the system froze. i pulled the plug and thought that since i hadn't clicked "keep these settings" the settings wouldn't be kept. now when i log in as that specific user the display is upside down and the system freezes. any suggestions?
many thanks

This happened to me except my screen went sideways. I couldn't figure out how to fix it but did successfully create a new user w/ admin. privileges and then just copied my files.

i booted in recovery and created a new user, made it root, then logged in with the one that was broken. it works, not sure why but i'm not complaining.
