Is this even allowed to be discussed here? And with that said, you can't trust anyone on the internet to be a doctor, because, for all you know, they could be lieing. The best idea would be to go to a real doctor in real life if you're worried about something.

I would recommend googling Sperm Analysis, there is a pretty good article at Wikipedia. Other than that, what Grant A. Said, I don't know if this discussion is allowed. And I wouldn't trust the internet for this either.

+1. Why wouldn't this be allowed? it's not like links to pornography are being posted here.

Because parents might complain that their kids asked them what sperm are. At least in the U.S., that is an uncomfortable question for parents of young kids.

It's kind of a gray area after reading the Code of Conduct, I don't know if it is or isn't.

Never rely on the Internet for medical advice. That being said, there's nothing wrong with asking on the Internet, as long as you get a second opinion.

You really should just see a doctor. If you can't afford it and you aren't insured, there are clinics that can help.

Well, sooner or later the parents will have to face the fact their kids are exposed to such things, like the word "sperm".

It doesn't necessarily have to happen here, it can be anywhere.

If my kid asked me what sperm is, I'd explain it to him.

I just had this done, and it only cost 75 dollars, it shouldn't be all that much to get it done. It might be hard to deduce all the results they check for. I would recommend a lab, just my 2 cents.

Since when was sperm a curse word, or inappropriate?

THAT is what's wrong with the United States, parents are afraid to talk to their kids about sex, drugs, and violence. They think it's awkward so they offload it to the school system.

P.S. You just have to know how to google. May the Omni Powerful Search force be with you

When society makes it a taboo subject.

Remember, the first major settlers in what is now the US were Puritans who left England to escape religious persecution. Their ideals have filtered down through he centuries and are still a major part of the American psyche.

sperm doctor - still higher on the medical totem pole than the poor, misunderstood proctologist.

The man is probably asking about counting his man fluids content of little swimmers for health reasons, something that should be encouraged.

If we were to preemptive protect everyone from anything that might offend them through self censorship then there's pretty much be no forum, nor an internet for that matter.

Now back to the point, go see a doctor, I know it probably costs money where you are but that will ensure that the test is correctly done and that the result comes with guidelines which are based on science.

How Stuff Works explains and gives advice on the subject:

Forums dedicated to a Linux distribution is not the best place to ask.. Closing the thread, sorry.
