I like the plasma screensaver's gentle colour waves on my netbook but on my desktop, which has a much faster video card, it's more like a stormy psychedelic blur.
I did [locate plasma] which showed me [/usr/lib/xscreensaver/config/plasma.xml]
I thought I might look at the file so I typed [gedit /usr/lib/xscreensaver/config/plasma.xml] but the file was just empty/blank, without any framerate or other options just waiting for an adjustment.

Would someone please tell me how to slow down the plasma screensaver specifically, & maybe even point me to a page on how to configure ubuntu screensavers in general? (I found http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=198809 but most of it's a little dated & not much help)

Thanks,

Thanks,
I'm on Ubuntu 8.04 and can't get Plasma to run at all. :(
