I've been trying to use the Meta (windows) key as a shortcut key.
I am running compiz fusion with gnome
Now the key is recognized as <Meta> when I enter a new shortcut key in compiz's desktop effects manager.
This means the Meta key is recognized as compiz see's it is pressed within the settings manager.
However no matter which command Meta is bound to when i try to use it. Nothing happens.
The same thing occurs with the Hyper key.
I would greatly enjoy having more custom shortcuts as Ctrl Alt and Shift have been pretty much used up and im looking for more two key presses which are much easier to use and remember quickly than 3+ key presses.
Any insight into this would be heavenly
