I was unable to edit this poll to include a "no" so don't vote here.

Please vote in the poll.

Please do not ask for support in this thread. I just want to see how many of us are having problems.

Tks.

I've had Firefox crash, but in every instance it was a result of an incompatible or poorly-written extension. Now, I use just four reliable extensions, and Firefox has not crashed even once.

I agree that the poll needs a "no" choice. After all, the poll question is "Does your browser crash unexpectedly?"

Yeah.... Java crashes mine all the time (every time I try to upload Facebook photos or play Texttwist, which is pretty much every day)

I was also looking for the "NO" choice but there wasn't one.

Firefox is really the only one I use. It's only crashed on me a couple of times and it was because of an experimental extension. So, mine would be 'no' as well.

Put me into the "no" column; really, there should be a "no" choice in the alleged poll question.

What the heck kind of poll is that for a thread titled "Does Firefox Crash For You?"

Well, no, Firefox doesn't crash for me, and Argentina doesn't cry for me, either. I'm not sure the two things are related, just sayin' is all...

I have had some crashes. The poll seems a little silly though. Most people only use one browser, if they get crashes it is on that browser. Firefox is default on Ubuntu.

And, as has been pointed out, there is no "no" option.

I use Firefox, and I don't remember it crashing since Flash got fixed.

Firefox crashes VERY RARELY for me. The only times it happens are sometimes when playing flash videos and if I have 15-20 tabs open at the same time.

In the past, with Flash 9 and libflashsupport (for PulseAudio's sake), yes. Now, with Flash 10 (and obviously without libflashsupport), no.

With Opera I haven't had a crash in a long time

I use Opera, Firefox, Midori and Konqueror. The only than crashes is Midori, but that's cause it's a little too experimental right now. The other ones don't crash by themselves.

I use Firefox 3 with Flash 10 and have removed Pulse Audio.

It's 100% crash free.

In older versions of Ubuntu firefox used to crash a lot (because of flash 9) but on Ubuntu 8.10 I hasn't crashed yet.

Do you want to add the "no" option? Please select one of the following options: YES ;)

No crashes here with Firefox or Konqueror. The only annoying thing is the grey screen that I occasionally get in Firefox when it stalls for a short while.

The only time I have a crash in Firefox in when I visit myspace profile pages. Some pages have some kind of code in them that just will not agree with firefox. It will just close out without any warning or anything. Sometimes when it is restarted it will reload the page and it will display fine, other times it will just shut down time after time after time.

Used to crash like crazy until Flash 10 came out. It's pretty decent now but there are some issues. It crashes more on Windows because Adobe reader is embedded, if there is an error in the document it crashes the browser.

I use Firefox 3.1b4pre, and also 3.2. Neither one has crashed in Ubuntu for me...although I did have it crash in Arch quite a bit (All Firefox versions. The betas, alphas, and 3.0.6 as well...). Reinstalled Arch, and the crashing stopped. Never did figure out why it originally was crashing, though. They were all silent crashes (including in safe mode, and running it from the terminal.)

No.

Firefox has only crashed once* for me in Ubuntu. It was on one particular web page. I suspect there was something wrong with the page.

once* Multiple times on one web page. Since it only crashed while visiting this particular page (actually clicking a link on that page) I only count it as once.

I don't think I have ever had any browser crash on me.

All my crashes have been Flash-related.

You're poll is tricked. I would guess that 90% of Ubuntu users use Firefox since it's installed bu Default.

By asking if people have had browser crashes and if so, "what model?", we can almost guess which answer... Firefox...

I would ask: "If you use more than one browser, which one crashes the most for you?"

Well, it's Firefox, but it crashes expectedly for me. :) Flash player hangs it so I have to kill it. So I think it's Flash player that I have to blame...
