hey all iam dual booting ubuntu 8.10 and windows xp for gaming purposes (left 4 dead) to be exact,anyway some times i need a file in the ubuntu file system while iam in windows xp so i use EXT2fsd a program which mounts EXT3 and EXT2 file systems and with read option but u can enable write 2 , anyway the real question is if i had a windows virus in my linux file system will it loops in my windows C drive ?

You can transfer a virus from linux to windows.

As with everything, you should probably use a antivirus scanner from windows to scan you linux partition.
