remove captions from icons

is there anyway to remove the writing from underneath the icons?

try this right click an icon, choose "rename" then hold down Ctrl+Shift and type U2008. Now hit "enter" and you have a nameless icon. For each additional icon you will need to do the same key combo x2, x3, x4 etc..

Im sorry but it has worked for many others but don't worry I'll help you get your desktop back what do you see on your desktop, do you have all your menus and icons?
