hello ,
I a new to linux, and as a consecquence i have had to reinstall ubuntu a few times over the last couple of weeks. one thing i have noticed is with the screen saver, i have been using the matrix screen saver and everytime i the speed has changed only once has it run quick and smooth all the other installs it has been slow and not displaying very well at all. Any thought on the varying effiency.
I have also noticed similar results with some software and running and causing the software to stall, forcing me to force quit.
Any thoughts on whats going on, its the same install cd everytime and all the same computer , the only thing that has changed is the sze of the partions (tri booting now with XP, XP PRO and ubuntu).
