I've been using Gimp for years now, but always just for recreational uses (read: yes, i'm still very much a noob). Lately, i've become much more interested in creating "art". Anyways, i was just wondering what others thought of my stuff. Btw, most of it is more on the abstract side of art. :D

Here's a link to my Ubuntu Wallpapers:

I really like the first one and also this one: http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h182/dtom2444/hecticU.jpg

I think these more abstract ones are your best. But I also prefer that sort of thing anyway.

Yes,that one,I'd love to see morph and be used as a screen saver.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! :D

The reason the images are so small are because the website, photobucket, makes them smaller, I believe. Original resolution is 1200x780. The resolution of my laptop so I could use them as wallpapers.

Not sure what you mean be "morphed" though...

Both look like amateurish stuff, seriously.
I was liked with ubuntu in 8.04 and 8.10, it moved in the right direction. But things are getting worse with this release, so both your wallpapers fit the current ubuntu very well - amateurish stuff + amaterish stuff.

I like everything about the first one except the text. I think it would look better if it were removed. Overall its very nice. :D

The second one is a nice concept. Obviously some people will like it more than others.

I couldn't do better, god knows, but I think it can be improved possible, so maybe binbash is right...
