Hi,
Using Ubuntu 8.10 x32on a HP laptop (model nc8000). The graphic capacity of this laptop is so that Ubuntu accept to set Visual Effects to mode "Extra".
The graphics effects is nice, however I notice that the fan now spins more often. I wonder if Compiz is a little bit too heavy on the GPU which makes it heat more than normal.
Do you think that the "Extra" mode would stress the GPU?
