I downloaded a theme skin for my laptop (Ubuntu 8.4 hardy) and loaded it on with the command emerald --replace & but every time i reboot it resets it to the defaults. Any way I can make it stick? Thanks.

Have you tried adding emrald to your startup? Through session manager?
and also change the default windows manager to emrald in Configuration editor.

easiest way is to go to your compiz config settings go to your window decoration then type in for your command " emerald --replace " without quotes of course and you'll be all good to go!:D

So where is this Compiz Configure area? I got through the session editor and added emerald to it, with the command emerald --replace & in there, but not sure about the second part. Thanks.
