I have dual monitors (of different sizes) set up on Gnome using NVIDIA's tool. On XFCE I could choose a different wallpaper for each monitor, on Gnome I can't. I have already searched the forums and the only answer I could find was to stitch two images together using Gimp.

Is there a 3rd party application that would add this functionality to Gnome? Or is this in the next release (Jaunty)? Or do I just have to live with it?

Any thoughts?

It looks like you will have to wait for Karmic Koala for this feature.

However some has written a perl script. Try http://lotech.org/code/random_wallpaper.pl.html
