Just read at CNET news that Firefox had 115 reported flaws in 2008. Thus I was thinking of changing my browser.
I was wonder what do others think about the security of firefox, opera ,and epiphany? Which does 1 feel safest with?

The number of discovered flaws does not necessarily reflect a browser's overall security, but I doubt opera or epiphany are targeted as often. Personally, I use firefox with noscript and adblock, and feel this is secure.

I agree, it is more important to learn how to secure your browser and how to practice safe surfing then change your client to avoid learning security.

I agree with this. People should really start going to the "preferences" (or "settings") part of the browser, and unticking this wee little "Enable JavaScript" boxes, and looking into the "block third party cookies" and "delete cookies upon exit" boxes. Maybe configure tor proxy and a master password while they're at it.
Personally, I feel Opera does the best in this category, as it has the best customizability in terms of security of any browser I've used. It also has some very fast patching, and you can sandbox it with apparmor (see: http://chubig.net/a/#opera). Chromium however, gets updated almost daily it seems, and is sandboxed by default. On the other hand, Chromium lacks a lot of effective security capabilities like being able to set a master password, or using a proxy, which requires the use of third-party add-ons, which is never a good thing (especially considering our dear friend; bloat).
Of course, Firefox comes with the best customizability with all it's add-ons, but it can get very, very bloated, very fast (especially if you're a software junkie).
Epiphany... Well, I'm using it right now and I find it lacks a lot of security capabilities, and I haven't found add-ons for it. Simple and useful, but not the most secure I'm afraid :(
