i had an adorable little boy on monday (3/02/09). It's really weird being a father. He was born maybe 2 weeks early, but since we had been told the due date was 4/20, we were so scared he was being born way too early. we got really lucky because he turned out just perfect! I think the most important thing to remember when becoming a parent is this:

make sure your kid grows up to use linux.

here's a couple pictures of little Ruan Francis:

A beautiful child indeed but surely the most important thing is that he has the freedom to choose;)
If he`s anything like my lot though he`ll follow his dad and be another happy Linux user.

EDIT:
he's totally a little me.

Congratulations.. I know that certain feeling, the feeling of mixed up emotions of becoming a father, and expecting new responsibilities. Just enjoy it and take it slow.

I too would like my son -at 15 months old- grow up knowing and learning Ubuntu (Linux). I'd love him to evolve with Linux.

Just remember, there WILL come the day when they will want to make their own decisions. You will best remember to let them go. What OS they choose will be their choice.

Hey, Congratulations! I am reminded of the due date for Ubuntu's new baby, Jaunty. Hope it will be as healthy as Ruan Francis.
