So I've never used a calendar of any kind before, most of the time I remember what I have to do and when, but since I'm starting a couple of personal projects and other stuff I'm looking for a calendar/reminder. I've tried Orage but it was kinda weird and I tried rainlendar but it doesn't work in Arch. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Mozilla Sunbird? (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird/)
Google Calendar? (http://calendar.google.com)
There's an add-on for Sunbird which will sync with a Google Calendar account - I've never done it, so I'm not sure how well it works though.

Hmmm might try Sunbird. Is there a FF calendar extension?

Not that I'm aware of. There's an extention for Thunderbird though - there should be a link to "Lightning" from the Sunbird page.

If you use Evolution as your email program, it has a calendar built in. It even integrates with the clock in Ubuntu.

I haven't used Evolution that much, might give it a look. Right now I'm testing Thunderbird+Lightning. Tried Google Calendar but if feels weird having to log in into my google account just to look at a few apointments.

I only brought Evolution up since it is the default email program for Ubuntu, so I figured that there was a chance you were already using it. I know often use programs without realizing all the features it has.

I have dial-up, so i know how it goes. But if you have a constant connection I am +1 for Google calendar. I have used back when i had DSL.
