Weird. I can connect to all of them just fine. Check your connection settings. ;)

W: Failed to fetch http://nz.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/intrepid/Release.gpg Could not connect to nz.archive.ubuntu.com:80 (202.7.6.10). - connect (111 Connection refused)

I suppose I can, but the connection is refused..

Can you connect to it via internet browser? links, firefox, lynx etc etc?

No, firefox says:

Failed to Connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at nz.archive.ubuntu.com.

Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.

* Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

Maybe you're firewall is blocking access to that site. I can access it just fine. Try using an HTTP proxy like hidemyass.com or something.

I am completly new to linux or Ubuntu, but a friend told me that ubuntu didn't have a firewall? Or do you mean the one in the router?

edit:
Just after installing I was able to recieve the system updates but at some point it booted the system and then a kernel panic occured. I 'fixed' this by entering recovery mode and do a fdmr package recovery. Since that, the system is acting strange (slow, and not able to update and/or install programs).

The one in your router. Hook your PC directly up to your cable modem to retrieve those packages really quick and then set it back up the way it was. And he's wrong whoever told you that. Ubuntu comes with lots of security and a firewall. One of them is called ufw and then there is iptables, then apparmor, Ubuntu has all that stuff and I hate it all which is why I strip it all off. I have a PC NAT Firewall that protects my whole network (LAN) so I don't need it. The cable modem idea would be the easiest way. About your new issue, I'd need much more info on that in order to be of further assistance.

Instead of downloading the .deb, how about giving Medibuntu a try?

Website - http://www.medibuntu.org/ (http://www.medibuntu.org/)

Thanks! :D
Skype is installed now. I'll rearrange my router firewall later today, have to go now.

When I try to install Medibuntu via the Terminal:

sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/intrepid.list --output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list

At the point where you enter your pass. the cursor wouldn't move!
So I can't enter pass. what should I do ?

Actually, every time you type your password in the terminal, it won't display. So, just type your password and press enter.

OK, thanks, I don't know these kind of things. But I managed to install the Medibuntu repostiory via the terminal and the GPG Keyring!

I just copied the line into the terminal and hit enter, entered pass etc.
I was struggling with sudo and gksu as the first command, because I read in the Ubuntu Pocket Guide that any sudo entry which is entered via the graphical application of the commandline has to be preceded by gksu instead of sudo. But sudo worked out fine for me

Thanksi!:P
