Hopelessly confused.

Just downloaded ubuntu on laptop. Completely new to it.

HP laptop has linksys wireless card. Can't get wireless internet. Tryed to download ndiswrapper or whatever the gd thing is called for driver off of install cd but keeps telling me that I have to insert the cd (?).

Can't figure out how/where to download off internet (hooked up laptop for now with ethernet cable).

I thought this was supposed to be linus for humans? Is there a simple or even complicated way to do this?

Hi and welcome can you tell us a bit more about the laptop and the lynksys wifi card? Model of laptop? Model of card?

Yes, wow such a quick response. Thanks.

It's a HP Pavilion ZT1175 laptop and the wireless card is a linksys wireless-G notebook adapter WPC54Gv3.

Thank you again!
