Hey!!

I am trying to set up netbeans and I am following this guide: http://wiki.netbeans.org/InstallingNetbeansUbuntu7.04

It tells me to perform this command: sudo apt-get install sun-java5-jdk sun-java5-plugin

I do it and then I am stuck at this screen of the Package configuration for java. I press enter and space and nothing happens. If I press Esc the window dissaperas and I am back at the normal console but just for half a second, then I am right back where I was.

What am I doing wrong? I am new at linux please someone help me out please

Do a name based search under Synaptic for Sun-Java6 and then install Sun-java6-jre & Sun-Java6-plugin

could you maybe be more specific about "the screen"?

I think you are talking about the licensing screen. You need to press the Tab key to highlight the <OK> and then Return to accept it.
