after several tryouts finally decided with full installation:
format 3 partitions before XP installation,
c:\Windows XP-Pro (40Gb)
plus two RAW (40Gb/ea)partitions
on one I've put the NTFS-DATA from inside windows
on second I put/manualy ubuntu format and install
my prediction if anything goes wrong I shall be able to move things around easy.
installation finished, and started the updates, want to load 265 updates,
I started, but probably this or similar server is so slow, takes forever,
question:
do I need to install all of them/ can't believe...
or there are priorities?
where can I find the linux (to windows ppl) dictionary, at least me to gradually select these updates,
I got white hair sitting and watching the slow download,
thanks

Go into System -> Administration -> Software Sources and change to another server. Don't forget to Reload it.

!!!
I stoped the update, want to restart, need to check my emails still sitting in my XP.
can't boot in to windows, just jumps out again!!!
after installation I could simple switch but since I started the updates I can't
what shall I edit in to windows boot options to allow me?
can somebody please tell me these tricks?
or...I just wiped out the fresh copy of windows, 14 hours of setup time, can't see it in the computer?

thanks
