I've been trying to fix it, it beeps on start up, and when trying to install Ubuntu I get an error about 70% through. :[
I checked the ram it seems to be all snapped in place fine, I checked the hard drive, but it still beeps continuously on start up and won't stop. What can I do?

Posting in the right section might get you help quicker for a start;)
How much RAM do you have in the thing?
If a live cd is not playing ball consider using an Alternate cd instead.

EDIT:You could first try using "safe graphics mode" when you first boot the live cd up.
That did it for me on my very first Ubuntu install....with my lack of RAM at the time.
