Hello. I made a thread a while ago about making a plug-in to make GIMP a vector editor program as well as a raster editor, and my initial reaction is to use source code from Inkscape to understand how to create the vector editing. So I was wondering, once I get the source code, how would I know which part is for the vector aspect and which one isn't?

Also, would C++ code from Inkscape be compatible with C code in GIMP?

Programs use their own code and data style, so no they won't be able to share functions.

This also defeats the point of "Do one thing, do it well.".
