I've had a 6 month absence from the whole ubuntu world... what have i missed!!

We now know what 9.10 will be called and it's not what Giant Speck wanted it to be. Don't know what else to say.

Would this not be better in the cafe?

I ditched my RTL8187B wifi card that never worked for a wonderful Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG that works great.

Linux now has 75% of the desktop market share, and you can now get fully featured Linux drivers on all Lexmark printers and any other random hardware you would want to buy.

Wine development was shut down because all software and game creators are now making their software for Linux instead of Windows, since Windows only has 2% of the market share. MacOS X has 20% market share, and BSD and all the other unknowns make up the other 3%.

All of this happened because of the economy.
