before I make some wrong move. is installing

http://ppa.launchpad.net/tormodvolden/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video-ati/xserver-xorg-video-radeon_6.11.0.99+git20090305.5dc4b69f-0ubuntu0tormod~intrepid_amd64.debgood way of getting the newest driver for ATI HD 3650 ... ? according to synaptic I have version 1:6.9 of those drivers. any comments will be welcomed ... ;)

(Ubuntu 8.10 AMD X3 64-bit)

update: I was brave. it worked. I do not know what I gained but it seems that I did not break anything. or did I ...?

question: if this version of driver works fine on my machine does that mean that I'm kinda ready for Jaunty? I'm asking this 'cause that was the biggest worry for me and that was stopping me from contemplating of upgrading to JJ (once it is in Beta or RC).
