qt 4.5 use.......

i need to use qt for my project, i just tried installing through synaptic and also add/remove options, but it gave errors

This application conflicts with other installed software. To install 'qt4-designer' the conflicting software must be removed first.

so whats best way to install qt 4.5, also i need some good resources to learn qt, can you help please?


i don't know why certain repositories not responding or disappeared, please also tell where i can get full APT(apport) links which i can add to software sources.

anyone out there, its just about installing qt in ubuntu, how is performance, thats all, i just googled and din't find much........
