Hello,
I'm absolutely new to linux and installed Ubuntu 5.10 on my old rig on recommendation of a classmate as it would be a good distribution to start with. Everything (except for my Rage Pro AGP 2x card) seems to work well, even the wifi card I installed works.
I installed linux for educational purposes in the first place, but ofcourse playing a game every now and then would be nice, but that's not going to well because of the Rage Pro card, but games don't really aid in trying to learn how to work with linux anyway.
I already borrowed a book from a friend (old, based on Redhat 7.2, but it'll do to get me started)
