Computer setup: Windows Vista on HD0 500GB, Windows XP 250GB HD1, "Files" partition 250GB HD1. Dualboot with Vista bootloader.
The kubuntu 9.04 alpha 5 install fails at step 5 (partitioning and stuff) with error 141. Upon looking into the logs, I find
"Cluster accounting failed at blahblahblah 0xblahblahblah at $Bitmap"
or something like that. It says I should fix consistency with chkdsk /f, which I TRIED, and it gave absolutely no errors as far as I know. I also rebooted twice like it told me.
The install always fails like this and it never works. I don't know why. The hard drive I'm using is "known to have problems with Linux" according to Google, but I want this to work...
