Hello, i have installed both windows xp and ubuntu 8.10 on my desktop pc. Unfortunately i have to keep xp because i am using programs not supported by ubuntu. However i would like to manage the partitions so i could give more space to ubuntu. I have a 160Gb HDD and the partition that ubuntu is installed is only 30Gb... Is there any way to do that? If anyone knows how to, please inform me.

Yes you can use gparted. I would suggest using the live CD to do this though as the Ubuntu drive needs to be unmounted to perform the resize.
From the live CD go to System -> Administration -> Partition Editor.

An alternative is the GParted LiveCD. You can boot from that, get the same graphical interface you see in Ubuntu, and you don't have to worry about umounting any volumes because they're already unmounted.

See the distrowatch.com website for a link to the latest GParted LiveCD image.
