Hi,

I want to be able to INPUT Simplified Chinese and DISPLAY the Simplified Chinese, but I don't want that my Ubuntu environment is translated into Chinese.

I already have installed the Chinese language packs. When I select the Simplified Chinese (MENU->SYSTEM->LANGUAGE SUPPORT), my application can display the Chinese characters, but the Ubuntu environment is also translated into Chinese!

When I select English, my application displays the Chinese characters correctly except for the DIALOG boxes.

My application runs in Wine (Windows application).

Thanks in advance.

Rob

Hi Rob,

Try SCIM or UIM.

I've already tried with SCIM, but without result.

My application runs in Wine. Only the dialog boxes are NOT shown in Chinese.
