Hello every body,

When opening several gnome terminals, the default organisation is "cadcade", which mean terminals are one over the over.
I would like to modify this behaviour so that when opening 4 teminals they will occupy the whole desktop space.
It's like the Compiz manager for example.
How to do that on the default gnome windows manager?

Thanks a lot

I don't think Metacity has any options for window placement, at least there isn't any gconf keys for that.

If you want your terminals tiled neatly I recommend using Terminator (which runs as many gnome-terminals as you want tiled inside one window): http://www.tenshu.net/terminator/. It's available in Ubuntu's repositories.
