What is the correct name for this kernel module 'aes-x86_64' OR 'aes_x86_64' ???
I see it listed both ways in various documents, including some at Ubuntu.com.

There's no correct name. They're both valid. From 'man modprobe':
note that for convenience, there is no difference between _ and - in module names

Thank you. Now it makes sense. BTW, can you recommend any good online man pages?

What do you mean? Like this (http://linux.die.net/man/)?
What's wrong with the man command? :)

The man command often tells me that no info is available. I think it may be because the machine I'm sitting in front of may not have the same modules installed as the server I'm trying to fix... or that's my best guess. But the man command has dissappointed me enough times that I now check the man web pages first.
Plus, I hate reading those files without good formatting. They are hard enough to read anyway. Reading them on the web is much easier.
The site you linked is one of the better ones, but I was hoping for an even better link...
