Can anyone help me install a netgear wg511v2. I have searched the forum, but I have no idea how to go about this. I am using a Dell Lattitude LS 400 MHZ. 256RAM. I tried downloading the exe file, but I cannot open it to find the inf file. I have very little idea what I am doing. Can someone give me very detailed instructions, like where to get the driver and how to open it. Thank you for you help.

Here is some info.. http://www.linuxcompatible.org/Netgear_WG511_v2_c12054.html,
also look here... https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/WirelessCardsSupported.
If the wg511.v2 is not working just by setting it under system/network configuration, then you need to see what chip set it has in it. If the data shows that it will not work by itself. Then you will need to see if you can get it to work with ndiswrapper. You can find info on that at the second site I listed. I am no expert at this, I just went thru all of this with a netgear wg111v2 that I found would not work. I bought a linksys wusb54gc that was listed as working with Ubuntu and it works fine by just plugging it in.
