I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 on Dell640 laptop and (using code from this excellent forum) attempted to download Linux drivers to run Epson 1260 scanner. I now have xSane in Applications/Graphics but Update Manager tells me "System up-to-date" but "Could not download all repository indexes", details:

Failed to fetch http://slackbuilds.org/repository/12.2/system/iscan/dists/intrepid/free/source/Sources.gz 404 Not Found
Failed to fetch http://slackbuilds.org/repository/12.2/system/iscan/dists/intrepid/non-free/source/Sources.gz 404 Not Found
Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I checked & those pages indeed aren't available. So:

- If I can find those files somewhere else, how to redirect Update Manager to them?

Or

- Should I uninstall iscan & if so, how? (I have xSane)

Thanks for any help.
